Into Week 37

Baby Eliza photos taken last week, i'm been so busy resting i didn't have time to update...or i'm juz plain lazy to plug in the printer plug so the printer can be turned on to scan these pics (cos i have to crawl under the table to do that and it's mafan to do that).

Oh but she was estimated at 2.5kg then and i've gained 1kg since the last appointment. that makes 64.3kg in all. We saw Eliza's face too tho my gynae was saying that she's turning so she's starting to face backwards.

check out her fingers!!!!! so cute!!!!

i'm significantly slower and i really can't walk fast else my ankles feel tired and sore. and when i come home i just bum around, almost. Ww does more things for me, which is really sweet, like....
- washing the dishes (cos my back will ache frm bending too long at the sink)
- bringing the fan in frm the study room when we go to zzz
- bring & buy food for me...or just taking a drink from the kitchen for me
and the many little things he doesn't usually do. and err....calling me "potato" too.

now the countdown really seems to start...i've got another 2 weeks till i take my maternity leave on 19th nov (our wedding anniversary!). and there's possibility that baby might come out a week earlier...still we're hoping somewhere during the 19th nov week. (at least my mum & sis will be back from Atlanta by then).

i've still got things to do....
i haven't packed my 'hospital' bag. maybe tomorrow.
i'm not sure if i remember how to bathe baby, establish feeding & sleeping etc etc.
i haven't bought enough milk bottles (i think)
haven't bought new born sized diapers
haven't learnt how to use the baby sling (ok that can wait till baby comes)
haven't figure out what pram to buy (completely clueless and we prob won't get one till baby comes)
that's all i remember for now....i think i might forget some things still...

meanwhile baby movements are quite significant, and fast too, interestingly. today at work i felt her leg (i think) moving from near the centre of my belly to the side, fast(!), and it was so ticklish i had to laugh. :P

Week 35

I received my pre-admission form from TMC today.

so fast....the day is nearing!!

I have at least 3 1/2 weeks more to go to seeing Eliza. And i'm feeling she has less space to move about inside, so sometimes i'll just watch my belly nudged by Eliza's possible stretching of her legs inside...she just did it!

i can still fit in this t-shirt ok. but at home, all the other t-shirts i wear are Ww's cos i barely have large size ones, and it feels more comfy wearing something not so tight.

feeling a lil less tired sometimes, also because i've cut down my activities, try to sleep more and earlier.

trying to get ready my 'hospital bag' to bring...had to buy pajamas for the stay in the hospital, thot they would provide. and i don't wear pajamas to sleep! just normal tshirt and pants. so no choice, had to go in search for one. plus TM is under such massive renovation that Isetan & Metro is gone...so i went Robinson in search for one. oh...and were they expensive.....$80 for a set! :S oh but i settled for a too cute pink one for $30. ok enough of shopping!

other than that not much to update, will post up baby cot pics someday, MIL just washed the beddings and i think the colour isn't as bright pink as i thought it is. so it's nice.
:)

Been reading on the forums of the birth stories of those mums who delivered in sep & oct. ooo...wonder how mine will be like. I'm considering not to go for Epidural until....hmm..until i can't take it anymore ba, honestly i've got no idea what it will really be like but God will bring us thru!
Also, praying for baby to come after my mum & sis return from Atlanta and before Ww's busy week (so no later than her EDD).

Gynae appt on saturday!

Start of week 35

It's a start to a countdown to baby Eliza's arrival and i'm trying to take a seat back to rest as much as possible, do as little as possible, sleep as much as possible. She may come as early as mid-Nov and i'm planning to take leave frm work about 19nov.

meanwhile this was the ultrasound scan taken 3 weeks ago when we could only see her ear cos her face was facing down

and today's appointment, she's measured at about 2.2kg. (this time i gained abt 1.3kg which makes 63.3kg for me...that's abt 12.3kg weight gain so far thru this pregnancy)

we saw her turning her head, moving her arms, i think a lil pouting of her cute lil mouth. so far so good :)

but since sunday evening i have been so tired and sleepy. so actually there are not-that-tired days and some tired days like this. plus work is gonna get a lil busy till the beginning of november. so everyday i'm depending on God's grace and strength to last through the day and even falling asleep at night.

heh..so today got to take a MC and slept to my heart's content till 10am. dropped by Tamp to buy nursing bra at Mothercare (which set me back by $81 for 2). wanted to drop by Kiddy Palace to check out some clothes etc but it was closed for renovation from today! after my gynae appt, we went to buy the cot mattress & barang barang at Eunos; also bought a baby sling. all in all spent about $200. if we don't buy today i dunno when i'll have the energy to go shop again! i prefer hanging out at home recently. heh. thank God we have many church bro&sis who have passed us gifts, books, clothes etc and baby cot too so that we don't have to spend so much.

now it's a growing time for baby Eliza who has gained quite some chubbyness, according to my gynae, which is good. she still nudges quite a bit, hiccups and pokes. if you're lucky, you'll get to feel her moving.

i thank God that besides this tiredness, i don't really have the backaches or swelling of feet (yet!), and still seemingly bounce arnd (which according to someone who is worried i'll fall or something). but i really have slowed down already ;P and i thank God that baby Eliza is healthy so far. :)

Week 32

I'm getting used to be a lil more stubby, slower, i don't bounce onto the bed and have to crawl out of bed, i think i'm spotting a bit of a waddle (i'm ducking!!).
So this is how i've grown since 2 weeks ago. I wonder when will this t-shirt be too small for me to fit in.

Eliza's nudging these few days are getting more prominent, and it's fun feeling her nudges. Funny how she's more active on my way to work and back from work in the mrt. I wonder if ppl do see my belly moving...esp when Eliza seems to (i think) kick hard or hiccup hard. Sometimes her movement makes it hard for me to fall asleep too, sometimes i'll wake up in the morning when Ww wakes and feel her nudging. I wonder if it's her elbow, or her fist or her foot or whatever.

We've completed our antenatal course at TMC where i learnt how to do some antenatal exercise (and barely practiced it outside classes...i'm so lazy!). Learnt about labour, nutrition, bathing baby & breastfeeding. it's always a rush from work cos it starts at 7pm (and my work ends at 630pm). but i thot it was ok la....at least Ww knows somethings too. There was a hospital tour but the teacher was saying that the hospital is busier after July and we only got to see the VIP and super single room (like a hotel room!). not what we can afford anyway it's too extravagant...anyway both of us like naughty students slipped away home after seeing the VIP room and guessing we won't get to see the normal rooms since it's like so full.

So we've started to see the real bill of the whole costs (delivery & hospital charges) which Ww's colleague let us see their bills so we can have a better idea of how much we'll spend. so the average breakdown is about this...
Antenatal consultation (+ tests) = $1.3k
Hospital charges for delivery = $3.5k+ (normal delivery w/ epidural, 1 bedded 3 days + husband stay-in & food)
Doctor charges = $1.7k
Follow up for mum & baby = $200+

wohh...that's quite a bit tho they were able to claim abt $2.1k from cpf.

yawns...thank God for a peaceful night..no one's home, Ww went for a wedding dinner, the nephews have gone to chalet to play so i have a bit of time to myself...and i feel tired le.

30th week check up

It's a 10week countdown to baby's arrival!

We're still having our appointments at a 3-week interval which will reduce to a 2-week interval. So far so good, thank God that baby Eliza's growing well. Just that err.r..i've gained 2kg in 3 weeks! :S and Eliza's gained about only 400g. not as much as previously tho so she's still quite an average size baby. Ww says it's good la..so not so difficult during labour. i think i was quite an average size baby too..abt 6lb.

We somewhat gotta be on standby mid-nov in case baby decides to come out earlier so i really got get ready all the things! Haven't packed her drawers, wash her clothes, prepare her cot, pack the bag for the hospital stay, bought pajamas etc etc.

and a great thing is that my gynae gave me 2 days MC to rest at home. :) because of all the tiredness, which is baby's way of telling me to take a break! (considering that last week was quite hectic being out after work everyday!). I'm still sleepy tho but the odd thing is when i lie to try to sleep i'm quite awake! argh! i was thinking i'm starting to adapt to a short sleep but frequent sleep pattern to prepare for baby's arrival. so 10 more weeks to persevere!!

Meanwhile we've also decided on a Chinese name for Eliza...finally. 蔡智灵. simple and nice which means wise spirit. tho Ww once mentioned, what if baby turns out to be a boy instead? hahahaa...then we'll find a new name.

i wanted to scan the last ultrasound scan but it's in Ww's organizer, this time she has still hidden her face frm us, allowing us only to see her left and right ear. it's quite hard to make out the ultrasound scans at times and the easiest part to identify is always her spine....still it's great to see her. :) maybe i'll try talking her to turn her head the next gynae visit.

Beginning of 3rd trimester

I've been really blessed to enjoy my 2nd trimester bouncing around, eating and just feeling kinda normal.

ah...but i'm feeling the more tiring part...not the nausea...but tiredness. honestly feel fatigue in my muscles (or fats :S ), i'm not sleepy, just tired. it's difficult in the office after lunch when i'm struggling to keep awake, esp when i'm not really super busy. was telling my colleague that i wish there's a sofa bed somewhere i can just take even a 1/2 hr nap!
I'm trying to sleep early..like fall asleep at 11pm? and hopefully 10pm soon. now going to sleep (aka be in bedroom trying to sleep) and falling asleep (hello dreamland!) is quite a big difference. it can take as short as 20mins to 1hr. sometimes i gauge by which was the last lullaby i heard. so this week i've been struggling with this sleeping and tiredness thing. it's a different tiredness from 1st trimester, when i'm tired i sleep and pop i sleep but now it's more of finding a comfy position to sleep and it's more difficult when i have late dinner (cos i have tuitions or classes in the evening), and have to keep sitting up to burp.

oh so we've now put the speakers in the bedroom, we've been playing this lullaby cd to sleep every night, wonder if baby Eliza will recognize it next time :) i'm not very gd at singing in bed coz i'll croak eventually...so usually i'll talk to her a bit, tell her what we're doing for the day, or say 'gd morning' every morning and 'gd night' almost every night. daddy's been naughty and shaking her sometimes.

of cos her movements have been more defined nowadays, poking around and i'll see my belly move or nudge one side. i wonder what she's doing inside. haha. probably also because she's growing so much faster, it seems like there's lesser space inside.

i'm still sooooo slow with getting the cot (also to spread our expenses) and sloooow with packing & washing baby clothes. but i'll plan to do that once my saturday tuitions are over.

seeing baby Eliza tmr!! yayS! :D

How we've grown

It's quite fast baby Eliza and I grow. She's really getting good enough food from me yah. i need to up my calcium intake cos it's time baby takes in calcium to grow her bones..and i don't really like drinking milk cos the taste makes me feel like puking. (so it's soya bean, yoghurt, vanilla milk and calcium supplement)

Taken on 2 different occasions...
this is on 31 Aug

this is taken today...16 Sep.

2 weeks!!! i feel i've grown significantly le...maybe cos i ate a lot today..hmm...let's see
bfast: noodles + soya bean
lunch: the chaichee chicken porridge + some carrot cake + soya bean
dinner: (at my mum's place) rice with cod fish + veg + mushroom wrapped in beef slice, + juice, then honeydew, then mooncake + tea
seems like a lot. uh....

yesterday was the first time i was hungry at late night, craving for fried carrot cake..at 130am. i have already rolled in bed for 1hr plus, lullaby songs all played thru...and found myself hungry so i made a slice of wholemeal bread + butter + half slice of cheese; only to find it so delicious that i made another one and read till i felt sleepy enough to fall asleep..it was prob 2am by then. oh the difficulties of sleeping at night!

but afternoon naps are a bliss...i absolutely love afternoon naps! managed to catch it on sat & sun (all 2 hours plus of it of sleep), thank God! too bad i can't have aftnn naps at work so i'm like so drowsy in the afternoon at work :( only to go home tired out.

Eliza has been quite active these days, feeling her rolling or nudging around more frequently which is really quite fun and makes me laugh sometimes. it's ticklish! and a happy feeling :D if you're lucky you'll get to feel her too cos i really can't predict when she moves though there's a sleep-wake pattern that she has but still.... sometimes i think she knows someone wants to feel her move and she deliberately doesn't move, mischievous gal! but unless you are carrying a baby, you won't feel it the way we mums feel our babies move in us. like what JF jie was saying, it's a privilege we women have that men don't. it does seem kinda scary having a life moving in our womb, (you know like all those younger days of watching horror shows...) but when it comes to our darling baby, handcrafted by God it's really a wonderful experience.

Random post

I realized i never posted pics of my growing belly. :O i want to but the pic is in the other computer. dun wanna waste electricity turning it on anyway. different ppl have different opinions on how big my belly is...some say it's kinda big for my stage, some say it's ok...i really got no idea and it also depends on what i wear, some clothes make me look bigger. (in my antenatal class there's this lady who's like 5-6mths, i think, and looks like she's only 3 mths pregnant!)

I'm anticipating the more difficult, heavy-weight stage of pregnancy when my 'honeymoon' period will be over. still feels ok tho. anyway...
here's the lil discomforts...
1) it gets more difficult to sleep, i just need to fall to sleep...after that, it's easy...average 'falling to sleep time is 1/2hr. (i hear Ww breathing heavily asleep in less than 2mins! argghh)
2) shortness of breath. or i just feel my heartbeating faster
3) can't walk fast. i can walk really fast but now...i'm slowing down.
4) burping. it has come back a lil more than usual, i feel...the burping makes me feel a lil like vomitting...and freaks Ww out..even tho i tell him it's juz air.
5) eating. I can't eat as much as i could and smaller meals helps more coz baby's taking up more space so not a lot of space to fill with food.

having fun feeling Eliza move inside, either waving, poking, hiccupping, kicking, turning, nudging. she makes me giggle. :D

Baby movements

Eliza's movements makes me giggle...it's fun to to feel her move within me every night. (and through the day to...just that i don't have too much time to pay attention to her then).

28 weeks

I thought i would bother to update everytime after my gynae's visit..cos that's when i have the ultrasound scan. whell..not so much the other time around. we knew that baby Eliza is abt 680g @ 24weeks. and she was facing down again so we couldn't really see her face. but we were able to hear her heartbeat really loud!

meanwhile i'm growing larger and i wonder how much more will i grow with baby in the next 10+weeks. of course there are some changes over the past 26 weeks that i get used to as an expecting mum...really, as much as hormones makes my body change in preparation for baby's arrival..it also makes you kinda different, react differently..so here are some things in random order
- you dream more than usual (weird dreams and i don't dream a lot usually)
- you eat..for me i enjoy eating more but i'm also a lil choosy of what i eat and when. then again i also do try to watch what i eat..ie more fruits, more cereal, less oily stuff, no raw food
- food cravings..i don't have...i say they're just inspirational
- food repulsions...i don't like the taste of milk...sadly which i used to like a lot. but i make up with calcium supplements, and this Ensure vanilla milk powder which my mum bought me initially that really doesn't taste like milk
- washing at the sink isn't so convenient coz belly's increasing the distance b/w me & the sink....so sometimes i have to turn sideways to wash...or mayb it's just that my kitchen sink is too big
- standing and walking. honestly i quite fine with walking (i see it as exercise)...but not standing. because you don't get to move much when you stand...and i think blood doesn't flow too much so i get a lil tired more easily than normal (that's y it's a nice thing to do to give up yr seats to pregnant ladies..and also for her safety)
- climbing stairs...i see it as exercise but gosh i get out of breath more easily than normal...must be the extra weight i put on!
- burping. i don't know why...there's always so much air and so much to burp...but that was earlier in the pregnancy..and not so much now
- sleeping at night...i don't fall asleep so easily nowadays because i'll have to try to toss and turn until i find a nice and comfortable position to sleep but i still sleep like a log till the morning
- reading - i've been like reading as much as i can..magazines, pregnancy books, baby books and still it's never enough and i feel like i don't really know until i experienced it.

-----------
I wrote those about a week earlier but for some reason, my comp hung and i was to lazy to start it up again so i'm starting some writing again.

Today we went for gynae check up and Eliza has almost doubled in weight since we last saw her thru the ultrascan.
oh this was the 3 weeks ago one...

we had such a hard time seeing her coz her head was facing down again..but this week we did see her..moving her arms and legs, turning her head a bit.

and now she weighs 1.1kg! and me....i gained 1.8kg since my last gynae visit which was 3 weeks ago! gosh...even though Eliza's weight gain is 1/3 of my weight gain. hoho...no wonder i'm feelin heavier lately.

Now's the time to start preparing for baby things, cot and all sorts. so we went to the Taka sale and bought...mainly clothes. my sis-in-law says she has lots of milk bottles, then we have a sterilizer at home already...till in the end i juz bought baby wipes and clothes.
Ww picked this one out which is really cute!

and who can resist such sweet socks!! the thing about having girls is the beautiful and sweet clothes for girls.

these are the clothes i've bought so far...

...not counting some that friends have given also...stored in a box which i'm too lazy to pull it out until one fine day we have the energy and time to go buy a cabinet for Eliza's things.

there are much i would love to write but i'm sleepy at 9pm....yawns...maybe because i missed my sunday afternoon nap. i think i'm going to sleep more over this weekend. meanwhile i hope i can stay awake and wait till Ww comes back to show me his Teacher's day gifts.

It's a Girl!

We went for detailed scan on monday...detailed scan is like an overall check of the baby's size, organs (to check the heart is beating ok, kidneys ok), facial features (like ears, lips ok..), feet and hands, spine growing ok, brain fluids, umbilical cord ok, and so on. So it's like a lil movie of baby. ..longer than normal. So we did see her mouth opening and closing, her heart beating really fast and blood moving in and out of her heart's 4 chambers (like some mini bio lesson i try to recall), her bladder (as pointed out by the Radiographist), even the fluids through the umbilical cord. One of her arms was over on her head (which reminds me of how i sleep sometimes and this is not the first time we saw her with her arm at her head), and the other arm clasped. Most of the time we couldn't really identify much (other than the hands, feet and spine) if not for the radiographer who pointed it out.

Actually, the more difficult part was trying to get a picture of her face because she was lying face down at a seemingly very comfortable corner...like if u see here...

whell...after shaking her for a while...and me trying to turn to one side, she did for a moment turn her head and showed her face for a while. hee..shy girl. :P

though i hope she would have turned around somehow...dunno how it is a comfortable position to snuggle..but i guess babies bob all around mummy's womb.

and yes..this was one of the first things to find out...that she's a girl..lil paishe to show my baby's bottom out here...but i can't seem to figure out how the radiologist identify anyway. amazing how they can use ultrasound to take all kinds of angles

this part is of her arm...one over her head..and the other is her hand clasped.

So far so good...and she weighs 392g at that time...21wks + 1day

more next time..going to zz le...

Mini scare

On the sunday that has just passed, i discovered slight spotting (aka light bleeding like in the beginning or end of a period). No discomforts but still a cause for concern. I know it's plausible during the 1st trimester but not much heard during 2nd tri. Checked out the internet and found not much answers other than saying to contact doctor. It wasn't really serious so i dropped my gynae an email asking about it, which he replied (at 11pm!) to better drop by in the morning to check. Which we did...a lil too early and waited till like 1030am before my gynae could see me.
Anyway thru the ultrasound scan, we could see that the placenta is a lil low lying and was given 3 days MC bed rest. (3 days! wah...and i'm feeling quite well though..but ok better safe than sorry. anyway i still worked on monday till 830pm. thank God my work is somewhat a 'desk-bound' job)

anyway what's low lying placenta? Meaning the placenta is situated lower in the uterus, closer to the woman's cervix. A low-lying placenta at this stage of pregnancy is regarded as normal because the lower segment of the uterus has not fully formed yet. As many as 15% to 20% (one in five to six) of pregnancies have a low lying placenta.
so hopefully it will move up somehow...

was given medication to relax the womb and multivitamins (fish oil and calcium) which all added up to $88.81. good thing consultation was part of the package we took up. (it's a $758 package). gosh..the money to spend!

but got to see baby again..and sometimes i can't really make out the ultra sound images...other than the arms and legs.

can see baby's nose and the heartbeat pulsing away (during the ultrasound scan)

baby's arm..but i can't really figure out what position

baby's spine quite clear

and this time as usual baby's been quite active rolling and moving about. it's quite exciting feeling baby inside moving and kicking (usually in the mid day and night time), and feeling baby's heartbeat and sometimes i can feel baby on one side of belly and then after that move to the other.
this time dr.tan said that baby could most likely a girl (a girl!! :) )but still can't confirm. so we'll see how in 2 weeks time when we go for the detailed scan.

really 2nd trimester is a wonderful time of the pregnancy where i feel a lot more energetic (but i still need my sunday naps), and enjoying the wonders of baby growing in me. though somethings are sinking in...like getting tired after too much walking, finding it difficult to fall asleep (oh dear it's starting...especially finding a good position).

Baby's name

While we still do not know whether baby's a boy or girl we already had an idea on baby's name. If he's a boy...then it's quite default he'll be called Elijah. It's a name Ww has already decided very long ago that he'll name his son Elijah.

What does Elijah mean? it means that My God is the Lord. If you're familar with Elijah, a Hebrew prophet from the bible (1 & 2 Kings).

If she's a girl, then we'll name her Elizabeth or Eliza. Actually i kinda wanted Eliza but it's a short form of Elizabeth anyway after a little research. Both names mean My God is a vow. We'll bother about that later since there's still 5 months to figure out.

Next is chinese name...think hard. will prob have to get someone to help us with it....at first Ww had ideas of not giving a chinese name but i felt that chinese names can really be meaningful and beautiful.

Meanwhile...baby gets active sometimes and i can feel movements. not really strong ones like kicking (maybe it is but cos baby's still so small!) but i know baby's moving around inside like how we saw thru the ultrasound scan. Dr.Tan mentioned that an active baby is also a good sign of a healthy baby.

For every mother, whether it's a girl or boy we all want our children to be healthy and well.

Week 17

It's been such a long time since i've gotten the energy to post anything up! so much has happened since and i've just came bac from our lil getaway in sydney (boy..i love the cold weather!). i had wanted to post the 2nd gynae appt ultrasound images for a long time but never got down to do so.

so here it is

can u see baby's foot raised up?

It's kinda hard to make out some of the pics so these are the better ones. baby was kinda sleeping this time so we just got the same profiles. my gynae said baby's forehead is like mine..kinda high. ha...

i can't remember what i had wanted to write previously but things are better now and the nausea is easing out...other than when i'm tired...which will make me throw up so it's my body's way of telling me that i need rest. i'm kinda getting used to the throwing up thing..which i'll feel better after that so i didn't really mind. but it still scares Ww...heh..

today was our 3rd appointment with our gynae and baby's grown!

now we can see baby's foot and little toes

and baby's head and arms....

now baby's arms is over the head...can u see the fingers as well? baby was quite active this afternoon, moving around..at first upside down and then waving at us, and moving hands here and there. but it was too early to ascertain when baby's a girl or boy yet...we saw frm under baby's legs but it wasn't open enough to tell. at first dr.tan said it could be a girl, but then cos the legs weren't open we couldn't tell really tell if it'll be a boy instead so we'll wait to know. we'll know next time we go for detailed scan in mid-july. :)

it's quite exciting to see baby and i've been feeling baby's movements which aren't really strong but i know he/she's moving inside..usually quite active at night though. started to feel more movements when we're in sydney and Ww to put his ear to try to hear anything...some movements and the heartbeat.

more next time...:)

Week 11

Week 11 is a little better maybe because i get to come home after work, less throwing up even though the feeling is there. Just when i'm getting used to how to throw up successfully...aka make a mess at the toilet bowl. and interestingly i only throw up at home other toilets aren't nice at all. i was telling S i'm feelin like an animal (ok not really...) but cos of my increased sense of smell...and disgust at many bad ones...which contributes to why i always want to throw up when i come home..cramped mrt and bus have smelly people.

Actually being happy helps. Asking God for strength each day to endure the rest of the day helps too. And i love my mornings because it's the time of the day i feel the least nausea.

Meanwhile just like every expecting mum, i read up as much as i can in books, online about watever there is on pregnancy, subscribe to online newsletters. Was reading a newsletter frm www.babycentre.com of mothers who talk about what they like best and least about being a mum. and i realize..and realizing i'm entering a completely different stage of my life..one that will change my life because of this little life who's joining us. i can't imagine but i will know when he/she comes. i guess it's something you read about other's experiences but never know until you experience it. can't believe i'm gonna experience it so soon.

My 2nd appointment is next monday..can't wait to see baby! some have been asking whether we would like a girl or boy...we won't get to know yet but i would like a girl..and Ww after playing with his nephews said he would like a boy. haha..watever..we would love whether baby's a girl or boy cos baby's God gift. anyw not so soon...prob at least by 3rd or 4th appt will we get to know.

The Evening sickness kicks in

I'm not sure if it's a good thing that it's evening and not morning sickness. Maybe it is. So by the end of the day i'm just tired out...coupled with emptying my dinner by 10pm...and hoping to get a good rest. It has been like this since Sunday so i guess no more full and good dinners from now, at least not till this sickness thing is over. If it had been morning sickness my beginning of the day would have been tired out already...other than the throwing up at night is the nauseated feeling throughout the day which i sometimes don't realize when i'm busy...but it's there.
I think i'm getting used to this...tho it freaks Ww out everytime i vomit.

Hope things will get better soon. energy levels are still low and it's hard to concentrate at work. but i'm looking forward to my next appt on the 14th may. :) hope to see baby soon.

I finally scanned this!

This has taken so long and while i have showed to our familes, my cell & Ww's cell it's time it get to be seen by the world.

It's a ultrasound scan at 7weeks. Honestly i didn't expect to see baby (i really dunno what to call him/her since we dunno the gender yet so i'll just call baby for easy reference) then, thought it was really too early (even to go see a gynae, considering ppl r seeing gynaes the moment they find out)

Anyway that heartshaped blackish thing is actually the waterbag and the little patch at the corner is baby who's only abt 13.8mm then. the 4 white dots is actually the computer ruler thingy lar..not part of the baby. we saw baby's beating heart (very fast), head, little dots which my gynae said its' the hands and legs.

In a way it's a whole different thing to see baby via ultrasound...like i really felt there REALLY is a new life inside me. Honestly baby's arrival is quite unexpected (we were planning to start planning end of this year) plus i just found a new job and only discovered 3 days before my first day of work...and so i have kinda mixed feelings about it. Tho Ww has super excited haa...and started telling the almost the whole world as soon as we 'confirmed' it. Still God's timing is really beautiful, just as we remember the bible verses we chose for our wedding in Ecclesiastes 3, that God has made everything beautiful in His time, so is baby part of that beautiful timing of His and i'm glad.

anyway this is how u find out if you're really pregnant after the signs seem to bug u.

bought 2 for $19.90 which is...hmm.. i think expensive tho. and it's fast way to find out.

more on other things soon i hope..meanwhile at coming to week 10 of pregnancy, my morning sickness seems to be taking a turn for worse. i'm losing my appetite even tho i would love to eat but food seems to want to come out. my succesful 'throwing-out' count is 4 so far...(i hate to throw out really...so i try not to but sometimes after throwing-out i feel better...tho not for long.

thank God for public holidays anyway, rest is a gem.

i'm 9 weeks

This gotta start somewhere and i don't want this blog to mix with my personal one otherwise it gets confusing..and i've been dragging this on forever...because i'm tired after work and because of all the morning sickness feelings (i'll call it night sickness cos it strikes worst at night)
I'll continue another day...when i'm feeling better :)
